Urea grade stainless steel is a special austenitic stainless steel. The urea grade stainless steel used for urea production mainly consists of 316UG, 00Cr25Ni22Mo2N (2RE69). Urea production is synthesized from carbon dioxide and ammonia at high pressure (140 ~ 250 atmospheres) and 180 ~ 210 ℃ temperature. The intermediate product ammonium carbamate has a strong corrosion to stainless steel, such as 316L stainless steel can not meet its corrosion resistance. The developed special steel bell is called urea grade stainless steel.

Urea grade stainless steel 316L mod is BAI modified 316L, the STANDARD grade of AISI in the United States, urea grade DU ultra-low carbon stainless steel ZHI, is an improved type 316L, belongs to austenitic ferrite double DAO phase stainless steel, specially used in the urea industry, so it is called urea grade 316L. Main feature is excellent thermal crack resistance and intergranular corrosion resistance.
